I use Canon DSLR cameras for the bulk of the photographs on this site. I currently have a 350D and 40D, with a variety of lenses, ranging from 10-22mm wide angle up to 400mm telephoto. A Canon 580EXII Speedlite is used when there just isn't enough light for my preferred available light style.

Some older images may be scanned from 35mm negatives/prints but are of equal quality to the more recent digitally originated work.

I try to get everything right in the camera and only use Cokin ND grad filters and polarisers to ensure good colour rendition. I am not over fond of digital manipulation, and prefer to show "what I see" rather than what I would like to have seen!

I always a have a Sony T7 ultra compact with me as a "notebook", but sometimes it comes into its own,as in the winter sunset/pier photograph at La Rochelle, when my Canons were unavailable.

For the traditionalists, I still retain a Canon EOS55 and an Olympus OM10 for 35mm work where specified

The "techy" stuff for those that like to know this!

I really just prefer taking photographs, and would use a pinhole if I thought it would get me the effect I liked!
